The Panther Pride Marching Band has earned many Bands of America regional and super-regional finals appearances and has won two Class AA championships (Atlanta, St. Louis).

The Fort Zumwalt North Jazz program is known for its quality on the state and national level. The North High Jazz Band has performed at the Jazz Educators Network conference twice (2010, 2017), four times at the Missouri Music Educators Association conference (2005, 2009, 2015, 2019,2025), and three times at the Midwest Clinic (2004, 2010, 2015). 

In 2023 Matt Schultz became the director of the high school jazz ensembles.
