Color Guard

What is Color Guard?
The color guard is the visual representation of the music and further enhances the theme, story or concept of the marching show.  A color guard uses a combination of dance, interpretive movement, flags, rifles, and other equipment during a marching band performance in order to create visual and effect to the show.

Why Color Guard?
The purpose of color guard is to foster positive experiences for all who participate by promoting creativity, performance, and movement and equipment skills. Color guard teaches life skills such as respect, hard work, problem solving, teamwork, and how to build relationships with other people.

It’s simple: Tryout.

    • Simple movement and dance techniques
    • A variety of tosses
    • Flourishes
    • Equipment technique in flag, rifle and sabre for those who are selected and interested
    • And much more
